'Are Human Rights A Western Concept?': UDHR Anniversary Event

On Monday 10th December, the Human Rights Journal will be holding an event to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Genocide Convention, which came a day before the UDHR. We're privileged to have a group of world-leading experts leading a discussion on the question 'are human rights a Western concept?'. These experts include Dr Adrian Gallagher - Research Director of the European Centre for the Responsibility to Protect, Dr Kingsley Edney - an expert on the politics of China, and Dr Adriaan van Klinken - a specialist on the topic of the relationship between religion and human rights.
