This May, the HRJ had its launch event for Volume 6 of the Journal. The event was held at All Hallows' Church in Hyde Park, and was catered for by the amazing people at the Syrian Kitchen in partnership with the Rainbow Junktion Cafe. As well as lovely food, the launch gave those in attendance the opportunity to hear from contributors to the Journal, refugees who were involved in the Syrian Kitchen and volunteers who had been across to the 'Calais Jungle' camp. The event was a huge success, and raised £900 in total, of which we gave £200 to the charity Syria Relief and then split the remaining funds between All Hallows', the local Syrian community and the Human Rights Journal itself.
